Rabiah T. Badroen

Rabiah T. Badroen’s passion for human rights originated in her witnessing violations of human dignity in the world around her, ultimately leading to her choice of master’s dissertation topic: Human Rights in Islam – The Uprisings in North Africa.
Following her master’s degree, Rabiah moved on to freelance journalism while based in Saudi Arabia, a career that consisted of contributions to various Middle Eastern publications with a focus on Islam and health. These publications included, among others, Saudi Gazette, Arabian Woman, and Muslim World League.
She then progressed to a full-time role in the English department at Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University, as well as publishing her work on academic platforms, such as ResearchGate and Academia. Continuing her work as a writer, Rabiah now lives in her native South Africa.
